THANK YOU!!
Thank you so much to each person who helped us at Cedar Bluff Elementary School on Saturday, December 10th!  We were able to spread mulch on all three playgrounds.  Thanks to Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts for donating food and beverages.  GREAT JOB to all the volunteers including scouts,  students from CBE, CBM and HVA,  parents, staff at CBE, Grace Lutheran and West Park Baptist!

CLINIC VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!!!!
The Cedar Bluff Elementary Health Clinic is an American Red Cross sponsored program, which provides minor first aid and care for the children in our school.  This is a valuable service that greatly enhances the nuturing environment Cedar Bluff Elementary strives hard to maintain for our students.

You can become a certified clinic worker by taking a Red Cross course.  This course is not difficult, can be done in half a day, has flexible scheduling, and is paid for by our PTSA.  No prior medical knowledge or experience is required.  Completion of the course certifies you to work in any Red Cross sponsored school clinic for three years.

We recommend at least one day or two 1/2 days per month of volunteer work, if possible, to ensure adequate staffing for the 2011-2012 school year.  Of course, you can volunteer as often as you like!

Ready to volunteer?  This service is appreciated and depended upon by the children and staff of our school.  By volunteering, you can help ensure that the clinic doors will be open when your child is the sick or injured one that needs assistance!

Please contact Angie Hall, Clinic Chair at 766=5651 or angie.jared@comcast.net to sign up today or complete the form under 'Files' below and return it to your child's teacher.

JOIN CEDAR BLUFF PTSA!!
“Exploring the Bluffs and Beyond: Encouraging community action and world citizenship.”
This year, Cedar Bluff PTSA’s theme is “Exploring the Bluffs and Beyond: Encouraging community action and world citizenship.” With so many sources of information in the world today, children need guidance and encouragement through interaction and positive examples from family members, teachers, classmates, and community. Our children are naturally fascinated with the world around them, looking to authority figures to help explain, explore, and understand their environment. By empowering them to recognize similarities and respect differences in school and around the world, our children grow in a spirit of cooperation and conscientious decision-making. EVERYONE has a place in the Cedar Bluff community through PTSA! In 2011, we are "blasting off from the bluffs"! Together we can help our children take ownership of their community and expand their awareness of the world. We invite you to join the PTSA and "Come fly with me!"
